It's core relationship is with L-3 Wescam, who produce the MX-Series of EO/IR stabilised camera turrets. Current MX product line capabilities include an integrated turret (no electronics unit in the aircraft, offering a 25% weight reduction) and True HD (1080p) video enabling increased standoff ranges and improved target recognition. All MX turrets contain an internal missile grade IMU and patented ‘soft ride payload’ stabilisation that deliver the highest target location accuracies and camera stabilisation in the industry.
HeliMedia is the UK and Ireland agents for
L-3 Wescam, and is also a certified
L-3 Wescam Service Centre for customers in a number of European countries.
HeliMedia also represent companies that supply products that can be integrated
together to form a video mission system to complement the MX turret.
Vislink is a UK company with digital microwave link equipment that supports both SD and HD video in one compact unit. Vislink also has a proprietary downlink modulation scheme that supports higher image resolution and more robust video links than other microwave link equipment that use industry standard techniques designed for static terrestrial links (click here for more info).
